    Pros

    Cons

Promotions, scheduling was an issue sometimes and company policies became annoying and hard to work with. But overall it a great company

I worked at James Avery part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working environment is very nice. Pay is ok. Hours are good. Training was simple. If it matters to you, the discount is nice.

    Cons

When it's slow, it's slow and there isn't anything to do. Standing your entire shift is pretty tiring. Promotions and growth is incredibly difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire 60+ temporary workers for Christmas just to keep 2 of them. That sucked.

I have been working at James Avery part-time for less than a year

    Pros

fast paced, traning and good company values, great leadership, and very clean and organized. The employees and manager were friendly and nice. And its a good working environment.

    Cons

promotions take awhile to get. not much room for personal growth becasue it is the same routine everyday of work. But overall I believe it is a great place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is good. However, I believe there should be some adjusting or arrangement where employees can have more room to grow through promtional sales.

I have been working at James Avery part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a strong emphasis on customer service. Associates do not work on commission, so everyone works together to make sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

    Cons

I have not been here long enough to experience anything real negatives in regards to the store.

I have been working at James Avery full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, flexible work schedule, holiday pay, great discount, company prefers to promote from within existing pool of employees, selling quality jewelry.

    Cons

On your feet entire shift, a lot of bending over to pull jewelry from drawers, must have excellent interpersonal skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always remember it is a "we" environment and your associates will be appreciative.

I worked at James Avery part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have worked at another location and had a wonderful experience there.

    Cons

This location was like being in the movie 'Mean Girls'. The managers were very rude and would make snarky comments. All other employees for fine to work with, but the managers were extremely difficult to get along with. They often took off of work, didn't stick to the availability employees turned in, and gossiped to customers and other employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get new managers.
