I have been working at James Hardie full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The interview process was quick and to the point. The management that I interviewed with gave me a clear and concise idea of expectations and what the company stands for. There is tremendous room for growth, great benefits and you have a great support system within your team and outside networks.

    Cons

There is a lot of back end things you have to take care of and many different people responsible for getting new hires set up. I think this process could be streamlined more efficiently and effectively.

I have been working at James Hardie full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interview process is not for faint of heart. Long and rigiorous, but the further along you go the more you appreciate the effort Hardie puts into sourcing talent. There are many phone screens and interviews, including with senior leadership (good, early exposure for those hired) plus some on-line personality and leadership assessments. Once hired you immediately see the competitive, driven and brilliant talent that contributes to an energetic culture of achievement. Real people, lots of accountability and transparency, good pay and bonus potential for high performance.

    Cons

Not for everyone - if you are not prepared to work hard, don;t have thick skin, and can't handle pressure than Hardie isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep challenging people to innovate, problem solve and own their business. Great message which drives great culture.

    Pros

They listen and take action, provide tools for work-life balance, competitive pay and great bonus structure, free lunch on Fridays, active environment, very transparent, industry leader.

    Cons

It would be nice if they updated office furniture and make the inside of the building look as nice as the outside.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

The company to be very open and informative during on boarding. Everyone I have met so far has been great to work with. Opportunities to advance on the company, Management want to help you because your success is their success as well.

    Cons

If you are not willing to do your job you will not have a good experience here. It is simple work hard and move forward in the company or be slow to do your task and they are slow to help you.

I have been working at James Hardie full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Multiple Interviews allow to see what company and culture us about In front of higher management puts you on radar before you already start Work with you on time and setting Standard Interview Process

    Cons

Lengthy Interview Process - 2/3 interviews over months

    Advice to Management

My interview process was a pleasant experience, which was kind of long, but worked out. The big advice I would have would be to shorten the length of the process because it can cause a potentially good candidate to be picked up by someone else. Both my interviews were great experiences that allowed me to discover the Hardie culture, which was big in my decision to pick Hardie as my next employer.
