Lack of talent development and wrong focus

I have been working at Janssen

    Pros

Great products, part of larger organization, agreeable work environment, home office friendly, stable company

    Cons

Talent management is not existing, lots of great people leave after only a short time. Leadership team is totally ignoring this. Involvement in internal projects gets almost always better credit (eg better rating or promotion) than projects with an external/customer focus.

    Advice to Management

Don't loose touch with the really engaged staff and stop the brain drain.

    Pros

good company to serve but did un expectedly bad in end

    Cons

Johnson & Johnson plan to wrap-up its operation in Pakistan in 2011 and in late 2014 j&j Pakistan announce officially to their employee that company is going to close its operation in Pakistan, where two type of employee are working one who have direct pay role under j&j employment letter and other majority are third party pay role employee ,who works for over 20 years for j&j but company did not give them its payroll .over the periods of time local and international management assure third party pay role employee that they will be treated equally when wrap-up operational. Now in 2015 j&j announce that they will give golden hand shake policy (benefits on close of business)to only those employees who have j&j payroll and nothing for third party (HRSG/VIKOR)employee. It is straight violation of CREDO where j&j state all employee treated equally

    Advice to Management

consider some benifits for HRSG PAY ROLL employee so that they feel comfort to feed their families

The Credo is for show. Don't believe it. Don't believe them when they say uncapped bonus.

    Pros

Interesting culture. "Our credo" is very good but the employees don't feel it inside their hearts. Nice team buildings and benefits for Christmas party for kids.

    Cons

The direct manager is the boss and if he/ she doesn't like you, you have no chance to proove that you can do more or better.

    Advice to Management

    To be more professional.

    Pros

They have good intentions and have really stepped up in the area of new product development and newly approved meds. Excellent products and improvement in marketing.

    Cons

They change leadership every couple of years and with it, change strategies, direction, focus, etc. Its hard to keep up with the new Mgmnt faces that revolve in and out.
This is disconcerting and frustrating to the field sales force. The ' credo' values of J&J are spoken of, but have mostly disappeared in recent years unfortunately. Much of upper management are from outside J&J and don't seem to have the same loyalty to employees.

    Advice to Management

    see Cons
