I have been working at Janssen as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

I think that the best thing about Johnson and Johnson let alone Janssen is that they treat all of their coops like they are in an actual entry level job. I work in Finance, and its been great to manage budgets, sit in on billion dollar reviews and feel part of this awesome company

    Cons

The only thing I will say is that I was not from the state where I did a coop, and they did not offer me housing. That isnt to say that coop and intern housing is not available. It does get offered to some coops.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Somewhat racist towards African American males. If you are a contractor, unless you are White it is difficult to transition to permanent employee

I have been working at Janssen full-time

    Pros

Great benefits and pay! Johnson and Johnson is a great company to be connected with for other opportunities. Promotions are available for those who want to move up in the company.

    Cons

There seems to be a new sense of extreme competitiveness in Johnson and Johnson. Although this is great for the Janssen's bottom dollar, the culture has changed, and solid reps are leaving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A renewed sense of respect for people's family/work life and workload analysis per representative could help. Constant lay-offs and changing workload/counterparts can become mentally exhausting.

I worked at Janssen as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Janssen as a great place to start my career in industry. I was treated as an equal, given real responsibilities and projects, and respected as an individual. I worked in R&D and was able to present in group meetings, attend conferences, and truly build my skills.

    Cons

As in all companies, there seemed to be dissent among non-management workers about the decisions of upper management. Office politics were very real, and managers certainly had favorites.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be restricted by preconceived notions or office rumors.

I worked at Janssen as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Biologics are contributing to a larger portion of Johnson & Johnson's revenue. There is a lot of emphasis on expanding Janssen Pharmaceuticals to help sustain and improve the company's share in the biologics space, especially after the success of Remicade and Stellara.

    Cons

Don't have many entry-level positions available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow new and fresh talent to get in more easily.

I worked at Janssen full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Experienced management and a small company feel. Janssen respects those that take informed risks. Development of associates at all levels is a cornerstone of the company's success.

    Cons

As with any pharmaceutical company at this point in time there is a high degree of uncertainty but if you thrive in ambiguity, you'll do just fine!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to be transparent in every way possible as it builds associate trust and respect.
