Current Employee - IT Person in London, England (UK)

I have been working at Jardine Lloyd full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I can't think of one thing I like about this place. Oh wait I get to leave at the end of the day.

    Cons

The people here are unfriendly. Management are unapproachable, I feel scared to ask for anything. I don't know what half of them do. One area of the business gets to wear smart casual and leave early on days leading up to bank holidays. Other departments including IT have to stay and must, MUST wear business attire at all times. Requests for training are ignored or you have to justify the request with an essay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to be so out of touch with your staff. Find out what they do and how you can help them. Don't make them feel bad for asking for training or help with personal development. If you don't want to offer training or personal development don't tell us it's up for grabs then!
