Former Employee – worked at Jawa full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – JAWA owned many different companies and projects, so great opportunity to work on diversified projects from Facebook games to android apps. Great writing and content staff with huge diverse backgrounds from entertainment, music, arts, etc.
The free lunches were great, but not unusual for startups
Cons – Workloads at start ups can be stressful. If your not use to changing projects or strategic direction on a dime, then larger matrixed companies are probably better for you. Senior management kept direct reports always in the loop but it didn't always trickle down to the front line programmer or customer service rep.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep projects a little more consistent. If something is working and successful the right effort is made, but if one of your projects is lingering its best to retire it faster then holding out.

Former Employee – worked at Jawa
Pros – -Free Food
-Free Snacks
-Huge Game Room
-Wear whatever you want
Cons – -Mysterious Business Model
-Very shady and secretive, No communication between departments, Everyone works in silos
-Leadership does not have any experience (resumes show it!!)
-Does not work well with other external business (vendors and customers)
Advice to Senior Management – 1st: Let's work on doing a legitimate business...something that's not a scam.
2nd: Your IQ test isn't fooling anyone...or it isn't working because the talent pool is very shallow
3rd: Start hiring folks with experience (not straight out of high school or jail)

Current Employee – been working at Jawa
Pros – Jawa offers fantastic employee benefits and perks along with a positive work environment that rewards employees for their hard work. The company truly believes in the "work hard, play hard" mantra reminiscent of how Google operates. Breakfast and lunch are brought in everyday and the office boasts and game room complete with pool tables, video games, foosball and comfy couches.
Cons – To work at Jawa you need to be a self-starter and an outside-of-the-box thinker. While management at the company is great, one must be competent enough to come up with ideas on his/her own to be successful.
Advice to Senior Management – Jawa boasts a great management team. All are very competent in their respective departments and are straightforward leaders. In my experience, there has been no passive, aggressiveness (one of the worst traits a manager can have, in my opinion).
