    Pros

I work for one of the in-house product development project where the team is supportive and flexi hours are provided to complete critical tasks rather than the rigid fixed office hours.

    Cons

Lot of activity in the office and can be disturbing the work given the open workstations.

    Pros

Pros – This is one of the work place where one can learn about the art of developing very large scale software. The learning here is helping us garner critical skills especially in client handling skills with stiff time bound deliverables

    Cons

Cons – Too much of internal competition among teams. Lot of times you're fighting teams across global centres instead of the competition.

I have been working at Jean Martin part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very relaxed place. BECAUSE NO ONE DOES ANYTHING! (except the developers). Everybody sits at their desk so it can be very ideal for people who like to be secluded.

    Cons

the administration is totally out of line with their racist undertone statements. all day long you hear the CFO threaten someone on speaker phone about suing, or being sued. You often work overtime to pick up management slack. Not a successful company, they're are no real jobs, hardly any clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're going to lie at least keep your doors closed and speaker phones off.

I have been working at Jean Martin full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

A highly professional organization. Good Direction. Focus is on innovation and inspiring technology and products. That makes the entire experience quite satisfying. There is a constant move to take up challenging projects. The attention to pick the right set of Employees and a constant focus on their technical improvement has to be appreciated. I joined this company as soon as i finished my MS at Rochester. It has been a great 5 years as of this month end.

    Cons

I would suggest reduce the number of focus areas. You have great technical teams who are able to handle projects in multiple domains. But eventually you have to reduce the number of domains.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good is the enemy of Great ! It speaks for itself. As you notice Nokia and Blackberrys of the world can become obsolete, hence keep the foot on the pedal. The direction is right, Step on it.
