Pros
Competitive compensation compared to similar internships
A fair amount of autonomy
Some projects were reasonably challenging
They made a strong effort to make it the most meaningful internship possible
Cons
Location, location, location! If you are a young person, and don't enjoy rural locations, this is NOT the company for you!
Resistant to change
Outdated computers/computer systems
Advice to Senior Management
Jennie-O seems very distinct from Hormel, which is fine to an extent. But I think it would be helpful if the culture was that Jennie-O is a part of Hormel, not that they are completely separate entities.
Pros
good benifits and lots of illegal employes so if you are one of them you will like to work for Jenni-O-Turkey in Faribault, Mn. They are very fare with all employees who are not white.
Cons
lack of communication between supervisors and employes, and very dirty and smelly place, no one has respect for the people who work there, because there is so many differant races who work there and they don't even speak english. But yet the managment caters to there every need, but if one of there faithful white employes would ask for something they wouldn't even listen. So therefore I would not recomend any white person to work for them.
Advice to Senior Management
start treating your good employees the same as the illegal people who work there!
