Sales job not a client care job

Sales Consultant (Former Employee) Carrollton, TX

ProsProgram discounts, helping others, learned skills like motivational interviewing

ConsMicro-managing, pushing people to buy food, Went in wanting to help people and was even told no one has problem meeting sales goals etc. Management cares more about sales dollars than actually helping people. Promised a full time positions and ended up with 12 hours a week eventually. Miss my clients but don't miss working there

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees like the adults they are - Provide more training - Need better compensation

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ConsToo many rapid fire changes. There were constant changes of direction. It was very confusing!

Things are moving in the right direction

    Consultant (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsWe are apart of the compensation pilot and I'm making more money than ever before. The company is finally paying us to actually help people, what a concept!

ConsOffers seem to change weekly and it's hard to keep updated on all the new information.

Advice to Senior ManagementMy Center Director is great and we have a new Market Director that seems to care about us and is fun. In the past, we've had crappy management and much turnover in upper management. I'm hoping this one will stick around, she is helping us make money and help clients.

Center Director (Current Employee) North Chicago, IL

ProsRewarding, change peoples lives, flexible, different everyday, fun, meeting new people, developing strong relationships and learning great motivation skills

ConsNot consistent because, of the way the compensation is at the time. The weight loss/food purchases fluctuates so much with clients during holidays, vacations and summer time.

Loved the job….center director was horrible!

Weight Loss Consultant (Former Employee) South Portland, ME

Proscaring for people and their goals, great co-workers

Consnot enough pay for what is required, sales goals are annoying and rude to customers being forced to cold call and sell, management was like a drill sergeant with an arrogant attitude and very rude to all employees, too much work for so little pay

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Program consultant

Weight Loss Consultant (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsHelping people reach there goals, changing lives. Program is excellent when followed

ConsNever get acknowledged for what we do. Always how can we bring more money into the company, let's harass clients from annoying phone calls, asking them why they aren't losing, really do you think we can really make grown adult do the program?, and force them to purchase food.yes we can fuel motivation, ask open ended questions ect, but come on! I have had clients leave program because of management bullying center directors to make harassing phone calls. Rediculous. We aren't doctors and we certainly don't get paid dr salary. I have had 20 cent raises each year. Does anyone else live in SF Bay Area . Rent is $$ almost lost my house three times,

Advice to Senior ManagementWake up! Look around, who is bringing in money to jenny? Who is actually keeping centers alive with revenue generated. NOT AMD'S or there over paid assistants.....CONSULTANTS. Give credit and pay where it really belongs! Happy Consultants = happy and successful centers?
