I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

most of the co-workers are a plus, shift hours are good for me, most of the job is common sense

    Cons

for the duties they want done they will not hire enough people, they state we have enough because sometimes the phone wont ring for 5 min problem is we don't just answer phones. We do e-chats, emails and handle problems that take more time then just the phone call

    Advice to Management

they need to look at the personnel they have lost and why and attitudes of the veterans that are left.

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice people and a low stress environment. I like that my boss lets me have my autonomy. The job is quite easy. I like encouraging the clients to reach their goals.

    Cons

I work Monday 8-7, Tuesday 10-8, Wed 8-12. It feels like I live at the center for 3 days then I have a day off then I live there again for the weekend. I am currently the only FT Consultant at my centre. Too much pressure to sell and do mindless paperwork. Seriously, re-writing analytics when we could print them or just look at them digitally and save a tree? The pay is not that good @ 12 per hour.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people. Keep part time consultants. Change the food more often.

    Advice to Management

You have to spend money to make money

I have been working at Jenny Craig part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love my job, I enjoy helping people meet their goals. The food is very good and the program works.

    Cons

My center has been short staffed for a long time, no help from upper management whatsoever. Unable to take breaks often!!!! Everyday we have higher goals to reach, more work and less help. Cleaning crew only goes 1X a week now, instead of 3. Company expects employees to do local marketing...with what time? Isn't that why they have a marketing department? Why do we have to do everything????

    Advice to Management

Wake up and do your job. Stop demanding so much with the inadequate number of staff in a busy center.

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Helping people to accomplish their goals. Potential for fine tuning consultation skills. The relationships you build with co workers and clients.

    Cons

Very simply, Jenny Craig's reviews being lower than Walmart should say it all. One of the company's values is Integrity, "Do the right thing even when no one is watching." Word of warning to current employees and those thinking of employment with Jenny Craig: management's definition of integrity is filtered through bottom line profit or in Jenny lingo "numbers". Only when numbers are effected will management step in and possibly do right by the employee. If employed you can expect a high level of frustration with no hope of pay raises, no hope of decent advancement opportunities and be made to feel unappreciated in that managements words do not match their actions.

    Advice to Management

What integrity really means as defined by Oxford dictionary- The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles: moral uprightness. It is not an overly complicated concept, do right by your employees and they will do right by the clients. Work on making employees content and the company will attract more quality employees. As it stands right now Jenny will attract employees less qualified then what Walmart attracts.

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I think the main reason I stay with Jenny Craig is because I am impacting people's lives... mostly women which really makes me feel good. A lot has changed in the last year. Our Jenny Craig Consultant pay changed to get rid of commissions. Its better because we can actually work as team. We aren't getting mad at each other for taking clients. The top management changed and you can start to tell. The guy actually is out there asking for our opinion which is a nice change

    Cons

have to work weekends/evenings and its unlikely you will get two days off in a row. I am lucky because our team is awesome about helping each other out but I know its not like that everywhere.

    Advice to Management

more marketing to support sales in the center.
