Great environment with many employees with experience, not so much in the technical aspect of planning.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning experience for further aviation career. Gaining knowledge of leading aviation planning softwares and some technical aspect of aircraft fleet within the company. Communication with other departments to keep operation successful.

    Cons

Not able to move up as expected. Need to be there for years and know many leadership. Communication is also limited to other departments and maintenance facilities.

    Advice to Management

Know who is capable to advance the company on a long term basis and have respect for everyone. Try sitting with the employees and seeing how they work and feel for the operations. The leaders would them be able to realize what is needed and what isn't!

I worked at JetBlue full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The travel benefits are fantastic! Lots of great people work for the company. Great if you are senior enough for picking and choosing your flights. Can work up to 150 hours a month, and as little as 20 for part time. Pay is competitive.

    Cons

Management is chaos. Lots of back-stabbing, and the gossiping is out of control. Pilots and flight attendants hook-up a lot, regardless of being married or not, so morals, ethics and integrity are lacking, but no more so than other airlines I would imagine.

    Advice to Management

The manor in which supervisors are hired is ridiculous! Alcoholics as supervisors, who drink and party with other alcoholics and cover for their drunken escapades. Most supervisors are promoted because they are actively or previously in sexual relationships with other supervisors. Few supervisors have any education, or experience to substantiate their being put in the position. The company is a real life version of the Dilbert Principle/Peter Principle with a heavy emphasis on promotions on who you do, not what you know.

    I worked at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

Free travel, great manager, nice coworkers

    Cons

Lowest wage in the airline industry. One is forced to work a second job which shouldn't happen with an airline. They need permanent full time utility crews to clean the airplane and take out the trash. That shouldn't be everyone's job!
