Mostly good experience, program not right for me

    Social Worker (Former Employee)

ProsPay is on the higher end for social workers, good training opportunities, lots of room to move around and move up in the agency.

ConsHigher ups can be "gossipy," seem to take things personally and make it difficult for front line workers to communicate concerns.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more open with front line workers, don't belittle or judge them for having questions or concerns.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

    Greatfull it is over

    Therapist (Former Employee) Brooklyn, NY

ProsLearning therapy models and working with underserved populations.

ConsTrying to apply model while doing home visits and feeding three databases, as well as doing casemanager work for contracting agency, ACS and getting paid for 35 hours when in reality your work hours per week is more like 50 t0 60 and instead of thanking staff they continue piling more work at the already overworked staff.

Advice to Senior ManagementMost clients are Latino and African Americans yet your upper level managers do not reflect this reality. Be fair in your hiring practices.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Great

Waiver Service Provider (Current Employee) Brooklyn, NY

ProsThe rate of pay, according to one educational level of experience.

ConsThe clearance check while waiting to be approved. Its a long process.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great benefits, but disorganized and inefficient organization

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

Pros4 weeks vacation, plus personal and sick days (as a new hire)
    Jewish holidays off
    40 hour work week

ConsLack of regular feedback about work performance; lack of accountability
Too much job security; some very incompetent, lazy employees are kept on because management "feels bad" firing them
