Administrator Assistant Class 2 (Pharmacy Department)

Hospital Administrative (Former Employee) Montreal, QC (Canada)

ProsThe people theirs around the hospital know how to treat you like family. I felt like I was part of some big family outside my department. Except HR and Pharmacy everything else was amazing.

ConsThe co-workers (Technicians and some Pharmacist) were amazing people to work with, the supervising staff were more of a bully type of people. Their job was to make peoples life really miserable. It got so bad that I end up having a burn out. I couldn't take their abusive attitude towards me anymore that I cracked and left without saying a proper good bye. I do miss the technicians and some other employees....

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to be more sympatic to the employees were more then just a number, we are people who have families to feed and take care of. I find the upper managements are not qualified to manage a huge team especially Pharmacy where the chief Pharmacist doesn't give a crap of the people who works for her. If she can learn proper management and stop relying on other people then maybe that department has a chance...

    ProsDecent salary.
    Stable job.
    Good hours.

ConsDealing with the "politics" of the hospital can be frustrating, specially because the administrative functions are on the lower level of the unofficial hierarchy.

Advice to Senior ManagementPut more emphasis on the Project management process.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Prosgreat professionals who know how to do their work; benefits and salary not really high satisfactory; career advancement very likely

Consbenefits and salary could be improved; management sometimes unaware of the problems in different departments; sometimes overtime is required to meet deadlines

Advice to Senior Managementlisten to your colleagues better to find out the problems that exist in lower levels of management; better interaction between management levels is desired
