    Pros

There are many changes going on in healthcare in general, however this company seems like they are not interested in the people that built this organization.

    Cons

Overall culture of this organization needs an overhaul. Not a good environment for growth. Often looking over your shoulder for the next layoff.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your people, they are what can make or break your organization.

    Pros

Highly educated, dedicated professionals. Great people to work with at the patient level, esp on nights. Great place to get experience esp if you're a self starter and like autonomy.

    Cons

Now a part of CHI-decreasing practice of best care standards, laying off RNs and RTs,laying off all RTs in their outpatient ERs. Very busy downtown hospital often understaffed. The benefit of being downtown is being surrounded by a strong staff when help is needed immediately. Upper management is no longer a benefit, but a burden. Rumor of more cuts coming.

    Advice to Management

Talk with the workers to develop plans, implement plans and develop new strategies. Too much upper level mismanagement that translates poorly at the patient level, too much outside contract 'advisor' management has correlated to extremely poor financial performance, lack of direction, tardy market decisions, low morale and less attention to patient care as well as less staff for more patients. Management is not giving educated, dedicated professionals at the patient level proper consideration. Upper management is taking the 'care' out of 'patient care'.

    Cons

The pay is very bad, you have to really like what you do to work here. If you focus on the pay, you wont be here very long

    Advice to Management

Pay more, show you appreciate your employees by paying them a decent salary

    Pros

Decent pay, good hours, never work weekends

    Cons

Management stinks, The PTO system is garbage.

    Advice to Management

Do what you say your going to do for your employees, also when your employees come to you with issues how you find a solution instead of acting like they don't exist.

    Pros

Great people, great management. I enjoyed my time in the patient accounting department, even if the work was a bit tedious

    Cons

Early start time and very strict on breaks, but with managing so many employees that kind of atmosphere makes sense.
