    I worked at Jiffy Lube

    Pros

Its a job. You dont need tools, they are provided. Flexible schedule, depending on the location and how valuable you are.

    Cons

Management issues, they are in their own little world and wont change for good ideas. Other employees wont do their job properly so it will come back to you later on.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Easy work. Most of the time your just hanging around waiting for cars to pull up. I didn't know anything about cars and they trained me well enough to do a oil change on just about any car.

    Cons

Standing outside in inclement weather holding the sign to attract new customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More hands on training.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The limited amount of computer-based training helps to prevent total disasters in the working area.

    Cons

Low pay, little benefits that are prohibitively expensive, constant stress and bullying from higher management, staffing is frequently just slightly more than a skeleton crew, and hours are cut regularly if you do not perform to standard or during the winter, where business is slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees are treated like robots. There is no company culture or values beyond throwing your fellow employee under the bus to make yourself look good. Replace the lower level employees with actual robots and try to care more about what the customer wants versus what corporate shareholders want.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Gets your foot in the door of the automotive field. Teaches you the basic of all basics.

    Cons

Terrible pay, Terrible Management, Corrupt All Around. Online training, Hardly hands on, Courtesy Tech SUCKS.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give up some of the profits? Stop cutting bonuses, People cant afford to eat working for you, not even the store managers. Haha, and get some actual waste bins for antifreeze/oil mixed water instead of just dumping it down the drains. This company ought to be shut down for some of the crap we do.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone in the company is nice and glad to work for the company. Jiffy Lube provides 10 uniforms shirts and pants. I can show up in my clothes and change into the work uniform for my shift, and then change back in the locker room before I leave. This was really important to me because it saves me the money for washing work clothes, and buying work clothes. In addition I do not have to worry about oil getting in my car or in the house. The training has been excellent so far. I have only done one or two oil changes in my life, but so far the training program has been great.

    Cons

The only thing I feel I should mention is the job gets dirty sometimes, so be aware of that going into this job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide tools and ladders to shorter employees, on some vehicles it can be hard to reach the oil filter.

I worked at Jiffy Lube full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

None at all no pros of any kind

    Cons

Salary is terrible. Managers are immature who feel it's ok to swear at their employees and call them inappropriate names. Upper management didn't even call me when I walked off the job after being sworn at for the umpteenth time. Place is a joke big wigs came buy and told us not to needlessly upsell customers which was the exact opposite of what store manager and district manger forced us to do. Unless you are desperate for a job don't take a positions with this company.
