I have been working at John C. Lincoln Health Network full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have worked in 4 different hospitals, and this one is the best. Those who complain are upset because the industry has changed, but Lincoln still puts patients first and gives back to the community.

    Cons

Some people have worked her a long time, and don't know anything about other practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Thanks for putting patients first.

I worked at John C. Lincoln Health Network full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There's a lot of good people that work there. I wouldn't say there is a higher percentage of good people at JCL than other employers but that's the only pro.

    Cons

Poor management from the CEO to charge nurses and supervisors. Management is good at blaming others for their mistakes. Pay is poor. Very short staffed. Student loan reimbursements have disappeared. Medical benifits are poor. If you ever have an issue with one of your many managers DO NOT GO TO HR! HR will quickly dispose of you and side with their management buddies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find something your actually good at.

I have been working at John C. Lincoln Health Network full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Education good and excellent teamwork despite complaining by ALL staff.

    Cons

Top heavy in managment who have no idea what is going on with RNs, PCTs ,and other staff. Unsafe patient care due to high acuities and an increase in psych patients. Always short staffed!!! Favoritism by dept. managers. Good luck getting your vacation as requested. Incivility rules!!!! If you want to be bullied work for JCL. Supposed to be Magnet but RNs constantly get 6 patients with very high acuities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes. Maybe the people coming in from Scottsdale will help.

I worked at John C. Lincoln Health Network full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Sorry, I absolutely tried to come up with at least one.

    Cons

Unprofessional at it's best. I seriously question the the fact that these so called medical professionals are licensed or certified. It's a very cold and evil environment. Positions are based on kinship versus merit. No room for advancement, an overall unhappy group of people that are too consumed with each other's drama to even be considered a serious hospital. This place is a like a high end nursing home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are as good as the people that works under you, start with the mirror then work your way down.

    Pros

JCL has been good at organizational development. With all the changes in healthcare and the economy, JCL has made decisions to keep it financially sound.

    Cons

Although my superior was very supportive and professional, opportunity for advancement was limited.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a leadership development program that provides the path for managers to advance to senior leadership roles.

I have been working at John C. Lincoln Health Network full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The physicians collaborate with the staff on patient care.

    Cons

Since the new CNO Jessica Rivas was hired last March the quality of care has declined at a rate that I did not know was possible. This woman cares about the bottom line only. Staff members' jobs are threatened if they do not comply with illegal staffing, mandatory overtime, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is not a factory. Cutting corners costs lives!!!

I worked at John C. Lincoln Health Network as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Many experienced individuals, wide variety of specialties within the network to explore, decent starting pay for Medical Assistants.

    Cons

There are no opportunities to advance in rank at John C. Lincoln, raises are scarcely given with some employees not seeing a raise for nearly 5 years even with stellar performance, some of the offices in network aren't exactly on the company's priority list and therefor fall behind in technology and overall quality of environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize the hard work your medical assistants, and other employees, put into their jobs and reward them accordingly. Make sure all offices acquired by the company are thoroughly updated to be on equal footing with other offices in the network to maintain the message that each office supports one high standard of quality in the company.
