I have been working at Johns Hopkins Health System full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

By far and away the fellow employees at Johns Hopkins is what establishes their superior brand and is also the main attractant for new hires.

    Cons

Pay is below market, sometimes up to 30%. They view the opportunity to work at Hopkins as a substantial value to you. It comes across as them doing you a favor to allow you to work there for low pay. No 401k match, parking at the main campus is $120 a month but all sold out, so you pay that to park at a remote lot and pay again for public transit to work at the hospital.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to attract and retain talent to ensure the prosperity of this organization, invest more into your people.
