    I've worked with Johnson Outdoors for 14 years. The people are very smart and passionate about outdoor recreation.

    Pros

    Great overall environment, great insurance plans, etc, discounts on products were valuable to me, may be more or less so to others. Most of senior management was very approachable.

    Cons

    Being a mid-size company, I felt that advancement opportunities were somewhat limited. Pay was below what I could have received elsewhere, however this was a position fairly early in my career, so I started below where someone with my experience 3-5 years in would have.

    corporate technology team is remote and doesn't understand daily needs of environment they support

    have remote corp tech director and team visit each supported site on a regular basis for a week, and not once every year for 2 days

    Pros

    Excellent product line, strong management, family values in a public company. Good opportunities in subs as well especially the high growth Motors. CEO is strategically strong

    Cons

    Not an exciting city(Racine), Watercraft is not the place to be, should be excellent growth with time in the international world.

    Have more fun--it is a fun product line.
