    Pros

The corporate office and the Lititz plant seem to be well run and decent places to work. The company culture is better than average.

    Cons

The Lancaster plant has had numerous issues over the past three years. The liquids packaging line was removed last year after months of trying to get it up and running. The corporate office generates procedures for the plants to follow without getting the necessary input from the plants to do things efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Get input from the individual plants and address the root causes of the problems to avoid the daily fire fighting and missed production schedules.

    Cons

I never worked for Merck - just Schering Plough (prior to Merck's acquirement)

Encourage the employee with constructive criticism... uplifting!
