    Pros

Some nice folks....if you were a cheesehead living in Wisconsin. Beyond that, not really much to say. Boring product line, boring industry...many still struggling with not being part of SC Johnson any more. Europeans seem to get it, US folks don't.

    Cons

Cliques, silos, etc. Some odd folks in leadership...e.g., the woman who heads up healthcare is bizarre and socially inept beyond description. Total lack of people skills, let alone leadership or management skills....a complete void. Sealed Air views Diversey as the other guys, low man on totem pole. Would be surprised if they even exist in current form, or with Sealed Air, a couple years down the road

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some new fresh faces in management roles. Some are nice, some are management nightmares, but the hometown cliqueness amongst leadership is a case study in how not to do things.

    Pros

Co-workers and internal support was great. The brand name recognition helped sell many customers and contracts drove new business. Working through distribution can be challenging.

    Cons

There was a-lot of red-tape to get things accomplished. When your products are sold on value it can be difficult to get distribution to lead with your line.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Simplify the process to get special deals done & work on coming out with new innovative products.

    Pros

When I first started there the company was very much people orientated and those in leadership positions valued input from others and actually utilized the information.

    Cons

With the new leadership that is in place, a once proud organization is now being reduced to rubble. They have taken those with a voice and willingness to provide constructive criticism and have moved them out of the organization, so what is left is a bunch of "push down" managers of people resulting in zero desire and motivation from the field sales team. It has become the laughing stock of the distribution world.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management would be to leave and let someone else start over in your place. You still have a few good people in the organization, but unfortunately, very few in a leadership role. I saw very few true leaders within the VP level of the organization as all were more willing to throw a direct report to the wolves to save their own skin.
