Details
Pros
Local: don't have to drive far to get here.
Can work at my 2d job because the hours are steady.
MY boss is super, gives me positive feedback and tries to get me recognized.
Cons
This is a great company for a man. All of the men make enough to support themselves and families; women are 2d class, and are never selected for advancement.
This is a private company: 3d generation is currently in charge, 5th generation getting ready to take over. Not management material; most of their concern is with "family" getting what they want, not making sure the company lasts.
Advice to Senior Management
Get some training in management! You have to know HOW to run the company before you inherit it. All the good ideas in the world will not help your company grow if you keep getting rid of your top performers and hiring yes-men. And, oh, BTW, women can get the job done also. Give us a break!
