Pros
The benefits are ok but could be better. The scheduling is good.
Cons
Pay is not within the spectrum of other similar situations.
Pros
Good culture, very welcoming, great work life balance
Cons
Lack of opportunities for advancement
Pros
A lot of opportunities to learn. The atmosphere is extremely fast paced and the expectations are high. Junior people need to take on more than perhaps they would in other companies which affords them true ownership and hands on experience.
Cons
Associates are not always compensated at a level that is aligned with their current workload. Not a lot of work life balance. Not a lot of focus on growing talent and making them successful. No career pathing.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at your talent carefully and leverage thier inherent abilities. Be smart about how to use your people and compensate them accordingly.
Pros
The opportunity to work for a well established brand. The opportunity to grow within the company. The opportunity to take training courses provided by the company. The awesome discount. Early dismissal on fridays (if you are able to move from the mound of work in front of you)
Cons
High CEO/President/Executive leadership turnover. The captains of the ship change too often for the boat to stay on course. Pay is not at all competitive....maybe that's why the discount is so good.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees better. Stop having meetings to plan the next meeting. Invest in staffing the appropriate number of staff to execute excellence.
Pros
job security
good benefits
Good place to learn
Cons
overload of works & long hours
lack of promotional opportunity
lack of recognition of good work
will not refer anyone to work here.
Pros
Large corporation, job safety, good benefits
Cons
Low pay, hard to move up because mature industry, corporate politics
Pros
Ok, discount
The ability to hold merchandise until it goes on sale
First choice on new merchandise
Flexible schedule in the beginning
Cons
Poor Senior Management particularly the DM
They play favorites and if you're not one of the favorites, sucks to be you!
Tenure oppose to quality of work
Advice to Senior Management
Quality from management should come first instead of tenure. Watch the management team more closely than new hires! Stop playing favorites and maybe sales will stop dropping!
Pros
Very friendly working enviornments, nice colleague and boss
Cons
less promotion opportunity and few vacation time
Pros
It's a really easy job for students and depending on your store and district, it is very easy for one to move up in the company.
Cons
It's really boring and not very thought-provoking.
Pros
Some advancement but very few. Worked with good people making it bareable to come to work. Good discount benefit on company apparel.
Cons
Takes a long time to move to, if any, next level of advancement.
Upper management did not encourage growth nor appreciated the work and effort that employees put in.
Salary is below standard.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to change or continue to change the upper management and bring in people that care about their employees.
