Jones Apparel Reviews

Pros
Work/Life Balance, great respect for employees and opportunities for advancement. The turnover at JAG is low because it is a great place to work. Politics are virtually non-existent and people genuinely like each other, for the most part.
Cons
Not all business divisions are created equal. Some divisions are better managed than others based on the personality of that particular CEO. Also, JAG is not the highest paying employer (except perhaps for designers and CEOs). However, the pay is fair, though on the low side of the range. Don't go there to get rich quick.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep listening to your associates and make sure you pay competitively in all of your positions, not just the very top. Also, relook at the number of stock grants you give out. It is very low and not up to the competition. And how about a stock purchase plan to allow all employees to feel ownership in the company? Competitive pay is the biggest employee complaint and that is fixable with just a few changes.
