    Pros

    Market rate salary, everyday fruits

    Cons

The company is a very challenging workplace with some difficult people to work with. Politics is everywhere are if one is not very very careful or a seasoned politics man is easy to have sleepless nights in here. Work is expected 24/7, weekends (on a regular basis) with no off sicks. Everyone here comes to work even when sick due to the work pressure. No roles and responsibilities are defined (at least in IT) and so it is very difficult to understand who delivers what. As a result it is a very chaotic workplace and employees work in fear rather than by collaboration. Communication of senior management is very unprofessional as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Establish good company values and instil in the employees.

    Pros

Advancement is possible, good benefits, clear career path assistance.

    Cons

If you are working in a client management account you need to realize that we are in the business of assisting our clients in saving money and that affects your budgets both professionally and personally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A better connection between the client account reps and corporate HR needs to be established. Sometimes it feels as though we are not working for the same company as other colleagues.

    Pros

Its a great company to work for with talented people. There are opportunities to grow and have a good career.

    Cons

Staffing is very lean and you wear many hats on the operational side of the business. All in all, good place to work.

    Pros

Compensation was commensurate with performance and was fairly allocated across Accounts. Senior directors are often paid 3-4X what junior directors are.

    Cons

Promotions are very tricky - and as in most Firms - very political. Office culture in Chicago is fantastic!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider adding some layers of support to the corporate services business. It feels like you are regularly re-inventing the wheel.

    Pros

Decent Pay, ability to work from home (A lot) if you have the right boss.

    Cons

Contractor: The Customer will mistreat you, create a Hostile work environment and JLL won't attempt to speak to the Customer in fear of retributions. You must put up with the swearing, sexist, degrading and dehumanizing verbal abuse from the Client/Customer on a daily basis. JLL basically takes the job away from the host (Client) and this creates a negative and hostile environment to work in. Even if you work above and beyond expectations the client is not respectful nor caring as they only care about is themselves. "Threats of firing JLL from local Managers to JLL Employees" is almost a daily occurrence and JLL HR is nonexistent. You communicate through emails to a distant office with HR and no one wants to rock the boat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When in position: Lead. Idle comments from the local client threatening to fire people or walk them off premises on a daily basis need to be addressed to their management. Pay is decent and benefits so-so.

    Pros

Separation of duties. Good pay and benefits. Attempts at office cohesion were nice. Nice corporate offices.

    Cons

Changing or unclear goals and measures made bonuses and promotions impossible to receive. Responsibility without authority (or support) make centralized responsibility difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve communication of resposibilities, tools and goals. Employees perform better when they know what to focus on.
