    Pros

    Good work environment
    Strong leadership
    Ethical
JLL seems to really care about their employees and wants them to succeed over the long-term.

    Cons

As with all large firms, sometimes appears a bit slow to act. My guess is that although the pay is competitive, they are on the lower-end of the mean.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Our client is great to work with and treats us as they would their own employees, not as a client.

    Cons

While the work is always challenging and never ending the compensation does not always match the amount of work given.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, work life balance part of the company culture. Constantly growing and becoming stronger.

    Cons

Hard to move up. Moving up the ladder not really encouraged, seems like they would rather hire from outside than try to groom people to move up from within. Total disconnect between those in upper management and those who are in the engineering or facilities maintenance departments. It stinks having someone tell you how to do a job that has no experience doing your job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Blue collar doesn't equal stupid. Listen to the guys at the bottom sometimes. You might be surprised at what you would learn! Work on promoting the best and brightest from within. Stop looking outside the company for talent.....reward the loyal employees by giving them the tools to advance their careers.

    Pros

All the tools you need to pitch and win business. Research and marketing provide the information you need ready to deliver or present to the client. Emphasis on ethics and integrity makes JLL a great place to work and a trusted advisor to our clients. Strong leadership contributes to a positive culture.

    Cons

JLL has experienced rapid growth and the organizational support effectiveness appears to have struggled to keep up. While senior management is working hard to address this situation it can be more difficult than it should be to get their attention on ideas to streamline operations or change the way things are done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how to incorporate the agility of a smaller boutique firm with the JLL platform and we will be unbeatable.

I worked at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Benefits are great lots of PTO

    Cons

I was excited to work for JLL but found it extremely difficult to work as an Accountant off Site. The people they hired remotely didn't have the right skills and wouldn't learn. I couldn't get people to work together and communicate. I felt like I was the only member on my team that cared. Management would have conference calls with the team but nothing improved and there wasn't any follow through. That was a common theme with my group so there was a lot of turn over in my department.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a better system that works. Instead of blaming and finding fault help with finding and following through with solutions that make sense. Listen to your employees.

Good company, suffers from issues most big companies tend to have.

    Pros

If you are driven and are supported by your management, you can do very well with this company. Their very large global footprint means you can find employment almost anywhere in the world with this firm.

    Cons

The company can be fragmented at times between its different accounts and divisions. Need more centrally-driven support to locate other JLL people in your region. Can see it as being hard to advance without the right people in your corner. Officer promotions are driven by politics and job function more than talent. Significant focus on Diversity & Inclusion has led some to conclude JLL is "over-correcting" in this manner regarding how much weight this initiative carries during hiring and promotion decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider salary reviews of high value talent before they look elsewhere for salary corrections... tendency is to let people leave because they seek a bump, then spend money on recruiting to bring in somebody at a salary that would have been a satisfactory increase for the person they lost. Why suffer the business disruption to spend more money in the end? Work on the divide between Chicago and the accounts... contracts are negotiated by individuals who won't be around to deliver on their promises. Some clients need a reality check regarding the amount of work that can be expected at the staffing level they are willing to fund.
