    Cons

Can be stressfull sometimes, no overtime conpensation, you end up working some 45+ hours a week.

I have been working at Josef Silny & Associates full-time

    Pros

its monkey work, and if you live in kendall, its a easy and fast commute. The actual employees (not management) are fun, interesting people to work with.

    Cons

They don't care about the employee, they don't help the employee, there is no HR dept. the higher management get paid big buckets but don't have nor do "big buckets work", they treat the employees like slaves. Managers and supervisors pass on their work to the normal hard working lower employees. Don't provide overtime, especially for the employees that work hard and bust their butts for this company because they need the job. Health insurance SUCKS! They owner micromanages everything instead of hiring more people. The amount of favoritism you can cut with a knife, no structure, no respect, no room to grow within the company. They don't appreciate the employees. Im pretty sure if someone would look into this company they would find so many things wrong or illegal.

    Advice to Management

Hire more customer service representatives, treat your employees better and not like slaves. A little advice "A happy employee, is a productive employee". Give reasonable raises, or start offering overtime, because the amount of work that comes in deserves overtime, offer hour lunches and BETTER HEALTH INSURACE...

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Josef Silny & Associates full-time

    Pros

    Some employees are very helpful

    Cons

Boss is a micromanager and tyrant, the pay is sub-par for the amount of work expected on a daily basis, upper management is making the big bucks without sweating while lower level employees are exploited, skills are not marketable for future jobs, most employees are unhappy, no opportunity to move up in the company, boss is not family oriented and discriminates against pregnant women

    Advice to Management

Start working harder so that everyone is at an equal playing field and lower level employees are not exploited. There needs to be more re-structuring and more new hires to alleviate the workload for everyone.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Josef Silny & Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers are nice. Independant space to work. If you just want a 8-5 easy job, then here is the right place. The president walks around every day, you can contact him for any issue, he would listen to you.

    Cons

Environment is bad. Everything is old. Most people are still using 17" screen.

    Advice to Management

Give your employee a bigger screen and a nice pc.

I worked at Josef Silny & Associates part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The office environment is friendly for the most part only a few people who obviously hate their job and take it out on subordinates. Management is very flexible with schedule if you are part time. Management is understanding of the challenges one may face with clients. Yearly raises are common practice.

    Cons

The job is extremely frustrating due to internal communication on top of already having communication difficulties with the foreign clients. Everyone in every department is drowning in work and not being compensated for the amount of effort expected, pay is very low when starting out. Customer service expectations are extremely low. When a CS representative needs help or answers from senior workers to help clients it is often a struggle to get the answers or fix the solution in order to have happy clients. This is an issue with the office culture, management doesn't care, senior workers don't care, and it trickles down to the entry level workers. Nepotism is obvious. Some are victims of favoritism.

    Advice to Management

The owner seriously needs to re-consider how things are run, he is stuck in his ways and is not open to changing or improving things. Money is not put back into what is needed to build up the company but rather on minor changes. Expansion is needed in every aspect.
