    Pros

Treated employees well, great pay, lots of fun.

    Cons

Aggressively splitting sales territories to fuel growth. This is only undermining success and creating high turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep employees first. The rest will take care of itself.

I have been working at Jostens full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Don't listen to the complainers. Jostens is a great place to work for people that are smart and actually want to work. I love my job and get excited coming in everyday. The new leadership is working together to change the business and innovate the products. That's a good thing for everyone. Jostens has been around forever and finally has the momentum to break away from the "same old" and try something new. No other competitor even comes close to the resources we have.

    Cons

We have great employees, but there are still some people that are stuck in their ways and don't want to change with the times. They need to leave so the rest of us can get busy growing the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the tough decisions. Keep the good people that are willing to adapt and get rid of the negative ones that are barriers to change.

I have been working at Jostens

    Pros

The new CEO is a smart, good guy and he is having a positive impact on the upper management team and morale overall. The company seems to be refocusing it's efforts. There are still a ton of great people that work here who are willing to work hard to get the company on track. If people stay focused, this could be an also e place to work because the work life balance is pretty good.

    Cons

Jostens has been around forever. It has gone through some tough times and was recently rescued by investors.

There are still some failing, outdated businesses that need to get cut to save the core business. Tough decisions need to be made. There will be some casualties, but that's necessary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your priorities in line. Stop spreading yourself and the team out too thin on initiatives that won't pay out in the short term.

I have been working at Jostens full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The new CEO - cares about people first--a kind and wonderful leader
The new leadership team - fun, smart - looking to drive big change
The people- they love this company- many have been here for years- the best!
Leading change- while challenging, some of the most exciting things are happening
    Compensation- competitive --
The culture- it's changing- it's fun!!
The sales reps are industry best--challenging at times but all around great

    Cons

The amount of change needed is a lot - can be very challenging
The complexity of the initiatives-most involve a lot of areas and people and can be hard to make happen

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing - we are counting on you!

    Pros

Great salary, great people to work with, great job.

    Cons

Lack of organization with the change in CEO, failure to acquire a competitor, agenda of their parent company are not in line, decline in product sales and innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work on updating the business and changing the products and services like you have done in the past, to meet the needs of the current markets. If we're going to war in the middle east perhaps start making wartime aircraft components again.

    Pros

It is so bad it will make you appreciate not working there once you're able to move on- or are org'd out. Its a pay check but for how long.

    Cons

Who wrote that Oct. 9th review? Its blatantly obvious: friends & family members to the CEO… that’s who!

The new President & CEO is a fraud. He has created a jobs program that has favored his own immediate family members, neighbors and close personal friends. So very wrong in business!
One family member executive, in the upper management team, is an extreme and explosive bully. Hostile, and MEAN to the core… That’s right, down right MEAN! On top of that its known that one new executive close to the new CEO now has to go to anger management training! And the company is paying for that! WHY? It’s his family…THAT’S WHY. Astonishing! So many unnecessary costs, so much damage has already been done at the company. It’s spiraling out of control. Good people are leaving. Frankly morale is at an all time low.

The President & CEO has allowed, aided & abetted abusive behaviors for his own immediate family members, neighbors and close personal friends, further allowing and creating a hostile, harassing, and bullying corporate work environment for the employees! The company can’t afford him. That's the smell of rotten leadership.

    Pros

Great team of highly educated and dedicated employees. Very advanced systems to collect data. Employees are accountable for their actions and trusted to make things happen.

    Cons

No job security. You are only as good as what you have done lately. Upper management does not take accountability for their actions. Employees are always on pins and needles wondering if they will be the next one cut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

LIsten to your employees and stick up for them during the hard times!

I have been working at Jostens full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay and great benefits. Majority of my co-workers and supervisors are great to work with.

    Cons

No personal growth, lack of communication, enforced policies on only certain departments/ people, feeling of complete uncertainty of the direction of the company and if you will have a job the next day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication is horrible! No one never knows what's happening. My first day on the job I had no clue where I was supposed to go, who to speak with, rules and policies...
