Pros
The Holidays you get 5 weeks holiday and another 3 weeks rest period, but this is a reason to work in France I guess. (Look out this will probably change).
Apart from this none other, this was a good company in the 1990's but has fallen on very bad times (see downsides.). During this period Jouve was under the guidance of a great industry leader for 35 years. He placed Jouve on the minitel market in the 80’s, the CD and the internet market in the 1990s and at this time Jouve was a real hub of activity and innovation.
The grass roots worker that has given his professional life to Jouve, in the printing plant or other plants.
Cons
Employee recognition, management incompetence and arrogance, non respect of customers.... the list is long.
In its headquarters last year over 50% of the employees left citing always the same reasons: management incompetence. The French government is investigating the company for its treatment of its employees such is the magnitude of complaints.
If this company continues in the same way then expect it to be closed or sold in the next three years. The Human resources department is laughable and does not deserve such a title and the only way to avoid being aggressed in this company is to grovel to your hierarchy (even this does not work sometimes.)
With huge turnover, strikes, harassed middle management this company is to be given a miss. The American department even broak away from the group last year with a great deal of anomanisity
Mr Jouve must be turning in his grave.
