Pros
It never really felt like a job.
Colleagues were smart and fun to be around. Plenty of recognition for good performance, best pay in the technology sales industry.
Senior Management was great and listened to what you were concerned about and did their level best to change things for the bestir. Products are second to none, the best engineering minds in the world work here.
Loved it!
Cons
Back end systems and order processing needs updating.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more Sales People and broaden the territories to allow for lower quotas.
Pros
Good opportunities to grow, some challenges but overall good company
Cons
very slow in hiring, not too many jobs open up on the East coast.
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Juniper is a fiscally sound company. Their salaries and benefits are competitive. You work on the forefront fo technology and will never get bored with your tasks. You can genuinely build a career at Juniper and Management promotes and does not restrict movement within the organization.
Cons
Upper managent are genuinely trying to embody good employment practices, however middle and lower management are not getting the message filtered down to them. Every one is so busy fire fighting that even you manaher does not have time to review yuor goals and objectives. Too much inteference from the Sales Account team in Technical Customer Support even though Technical Customer Support is very competent. I get the impression that Management rules by fear but have not been able to confirm that.
Advice to Senior Management
The company is too focused on what Cisco is doing trying to get market share from them. Juniper has some very smart people and makes techically sound products.Forget about focusing the attention on Cisco and invent new ideas and innovation in your products. Building bigger, faster and better is not the way forward. We have to build out of the box solutions.
Pros
Company focus on technical excellence; Company focus on satisfying customers; Cooperating business units
Cons
Byzantine support process which prevents customer satisfaction.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue our focus on being the best not the most or the cheapest
Pros
We are a highly respected engineering company and make solid products -
Cons
Could do a better job marketing
Advice to Senior Management
We need to replace Steven Elop soon
