Pros
- You will get ur hands dirty from day one
- Lot of opportunities to learn and grow
- Good recognition and rewards
Cons
- Lacks streamlining of the process
Pros
I mostly enjoyed the people and the work life balance. Telecommuting was encouraged. PTO was never a problem. Politics were light.
Cons
Opportunities for advancement is tough to find. Juniper really needs to work on promoting within before considering looking for outside candidates.
Pros
Good environment to work in and lots to learn from job.
Works like a start up and are aggressive in development. :)
Cons
Lack of recreational activities at office.
Advice to Senior Management
Should definitely increase salaries and have some more recreational activities at work like a Wii, play station, Xbox room where employees can sit back and relax for some time.
Pros
Good pace of work load, not too much, it's as you can
Good management, giving feedback, effort to keep skilled people is important
Cons
Laboratories are crowded, behind schedule on that.
Corporate SW tools is poor.
Advice to Senior Management
None, doing as much as they can
Pros
Telecommuting.
Moving within company is encouraged.
Cons
Long work hours.
Some tools and processes are young.
Pros
Competent support, marketing and other staff
Excellent technical teams
Core teams devoid of too much politics
Cons
Does not scale well
Software management is too technical
They don't know how to offload and empower technical decisions
Software vision is not very clear
Advice to Senior Management
Referesh middle to BU level management with real managers who can manage people/teams/geographies and not to continue with people who know the product the best
Real change can happen only if you go with new outside talent. Too much of insider promotions will hurt in scaling - they still work with startup mentality.
Success as small company does not equate to same when you are big
Pros
the actual job is very good; it is exciting stuff. a lot to learn; good quality engineers and peers. good place to wrok;
Cons
the management sucks; no management skill at all; sometimes very rude as they own you. too much favor toward old friend or same racel
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Good work culture. Strong focus on technology and engineering, very good in routing and switching and now getting in to cloud
Cons
Not enough growth prospects for middle management, salaries are not very competitive now with the stock also moving in the downward direction.
Advice to Senior Management
Good work culture. Strong focus on technology and engineering, very good in routing and switching and now getting in to cloud
Pros
Not much stress to deal with
Cons
interesting place, but you should work hard to get promoted
Advice to Senior Management
Nice to me

Supportive culture
Growth business

Can be political so know your internal customer very well
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to find ways to eliminate some of the processes that get in the way of doing your job
