    Honestly was my favorite job!

Store Manager (Former Employee) Las Vegas, NV

ProsI was a store manager. Great family like business when it was up and running. Full control of demo for toys to sell. Our crew was more than managers and employees, we could all openly talk to each other and share ideas to help the store.

ConsThis company has been out of business (Filed full Bankruptcy) for about 6 years. This was a nationwide closure

Advice to Senior ManagementReopen the stores. Give the store managers control of their business, not corporate pockets. If KB Toys was to reopen today, I would happily be a store manager again. I despise walking into a Toys R Us. KB Toys was the best

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Was a great first job

    Sales Associate (Former Employee)

ProsFun work environment and (mostly) great coworkers. Pay was minimum wage, but what can you expect from P/T retail?

ConsSome of the ASMs were ... less than good at their jobs. Came in late ("It's only retail! Nobody cares!"), were very inappropriate (sexual liaisons in the back room), and while SMs were willing to address the issue, corporate didn't seem to think anything of it.

Hard work but a lot of fun.

Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsToys, man, toys. The job itself is fairly easy. Stock merchandise, straighten store and sell. Customers were fun to work with but the holiday season could get stressful

ConsAverage pay, parents who let their kids run wild, lackluster management.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemember the people at the bottom. They are the ones who are busting their backsides so that you can make the big bucks.

    Horrible

Store Manager (Former Employee) Aurora, IL

Prosdiscount on toys and sales bonus

Conslack of payroll to successfully run a store, constant visits from corporate suits. Small store and way too many planogram changes. Low pay for the amount of hours you have to work as a manager.
