“Great work rules, poor management by partners hinders firms design growth.”
Former Employee – worked at KCBA Architects
Pros – The management team at KCBA architects is very good about fostering a work life balance for employees. They also promoted very reasonable flex-time and work at home programs. It is a very friendly place to work if you are the non-mortgage paying salary in a two income household--flex-time, work at home, etc.
Cons – As a landscape architect working in a firm dominated by architects in all leadership positions, I experienced professional frustration. A lack of respect for allied design professions from several of the partners led to dissatisfaction amoung the allied professionals in the firm.
Advice to Senior Management – Value your allied professions, treat them as design collaborators not technicians.
