I worked at KEL Attorneys full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great pay for the first few weeks until the tiers start dropping pay even if quota is met.

    Cons

This is like working in timeshare. Lots of pretty people who will do anything to steal your deals. Harsh environment with lots of disrespect for others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the marketing and focus on providing a good customer experience. The best referrals are repeat customers and word of mouth. Fix the image and rearrange leaders. Focus on retention and provide better work experiences.

I worked at KEL Attorneys full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I learned a lot from my a few great associate attorneys working there. Good location downtown. Great people working for such a horrible business.

    Cons

Partners couldn't care less about their employees. All they care about is money. Employees are consistently fired left and right. Major ethical violations. I was actually told "You are a monkey and anyone can do your job" by a partner of the firm as he was threatening our jobs if we didn't make our goat that month. They use negative reinforcement and intimidation to drive their employees. Underpaid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like they make a difference and they will. Also, if you do your job correctly the first time, you would save yourself a lot of money!

    Cons

Unrealistic case and work load expections

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't fire your employees for complaining about questionable and illegal/unethical legal and employment practices.

    Pros

NONE... Leadership has No Vision for the Future...

    Cons

DO NOT USE!!! RIP OFF REPORT!!! KEL law firm founders disciplined by Florida Supreme Court.... The Florida Supreme Court ordered that the three founders of Kaufman, Englett & Lynd PA law firm be publicly reprimanded. All three founders acknowledged they failed to communicate properly with clients about cases. In addition to the reprimand, the owners also were ordered to attend ethics schools and pay the cost of Florida Bar investigation.

    Cons

A lot of unhappy people they deserve a better pay. They work hard, to many file for one person. how you going to help all the clients when you just have 8hr to work with impossible a lots of client calling, leaving messages and no answer back cause they have to much in there hands. people please treat you employee better they are the one's that make you the money, value every dept. ask around who works who don't maybe you guys don't even who's who.

I worked at KEL Attorneys full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You lear a lot in a small period of time. Every possible legal scenario will come across your desk, so will get the equivalent or close to 10 years of experience in a years time.

    Cons

Very political. A lot of read tape. Ridiculous corporate policies. Too much work for little pay.
Extremely high caseloads for both Attorneys and paralegals a like, mentality that employees are disposable, no concern for customer service or attorney's bar license. Management looks out for their own and once in a while will worry for the employees, but only if it benefits them. Glass ceiling, very little opportunity for growth and you only grow if you are liked by management and/or partners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees, they are the ones in touch with the clients. Happy clients equal more business.
