    I worked at KFC part-time

    Pros

Atmosphere is very chill. Associates are like family

Manager was stingy and a perv. A lot of "brushed under the rug" injuries.

I worked at KFC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Free meals.
    Nice coworkers.
If you can handle KFC, you can handle anything!

    Cons

Clueless corporate office has no concept of running a fast food restaurant.
Poor health practices promoted to save money.
LONG hours for horrible pay, salaried managers make less than minimum wage once hours divided by salary are added up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a better way to save money than pulling plates and cups from the trash can, washing them, and serving them back to the customer!

I worked at KFC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Free food they throw away.

    Cons

    Never acknowledged for hard work
    Never respected
    No raises
No one cared about what we did
Disgusting even though i mentioned sanitary issues
Emailed corporate and they never even acknowledged me

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to seriously consider the people that bust themselves for the company and work hard. You need to inspect sanitary issues and ask if that's where you want your food being cooked. You don't promote people that need it.

I have been working at KFC full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Team members are amazing people and some of the customers are really nice .

    Cons

Where do I begin? This restaurant which is a Taco Bell/kfc is always understaffed! The "big guys" pressure our managers to cut labor, at times we only have 3 people and a line up front and in the drive tru , I would like to see someone from corporate work through that.Everyone in this store feels unappreciated and overworked but hey as long as this store keeps making money corporate is happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep overworking your employees

    Just Starting Out

I have been working at KFC

    Pros

As a first time QSR General Manager KFC offered a competitive salary and benefits as well as the assurance that there will be growth opportunity working for a dynamic franchise.

    Cons

I would have liked a higher starting salary seeing that I do have 3 degrees but who wouldn't. I do appreciate the fact that they were willing to negotiate and offer me a little more than the original offer even though I do not have experience in the QSR industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice as of yet, I haven't officially started and my experience with everyone that I've met thus far has been extremely pleasant.

I have been working at KFC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I like the level of ownership I am afforded. I feel like I am part of the big picture. I feel like I am appreciated.

    Cons

Some long days and hours. But that is to be expected from any job. However most days fly by and sometimes I can't believe my shift is already over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time in your stores to better understand some of our daily struggles.

    I worked at KFC

    Pros

    Great stores
Awesome benefits if you work there long enough

    Cons

The "big guys" can give you about 2 weeks notice before shutting down the store... which put 20 people out of jobs at just my store alone.
