    Excellent Experience

Executive Assistant (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsGreat Pay, wonderful to have only one boss to report to, great benefits, beautiful offices, probably one of the best working environments I have had.

Consfast paced environment, must keep your cool with sometimes demanding executives, visiting executives (from other companies) can be a little more difficult to keep happy.

Advice to Senior Managementsmall benefits keep the morale up.

Very challenging but worth it if you really want to climb the ladder. Hard work is well rewarded.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsVery nice offices, good support system (admin and IT support, learning and development programs). The firm sets high expectations for all of its employees so it can be a very challenging environment, but a good opportunity for personal growth. Accomplishments are recognized. Good benefits and compensation.

ConsWork/life balance can be difficult. There seems to be more red tape since the company went public several years ago. KKR has lost a bit of the boutique/family firm culture with their growth over the last 7 to 8 years.

    Great Opportunity

Client Partner Group (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe Group works well with each other and is very helpful. The experience was impeccable as an employee and the firm is very active in the Private equity space and now is looking into expansion options which provides a wide breadth of knowledge. The day to day work varies a lot but you are usually swamped with work, so for the narcissists looking to constantly improve themselves this is the kind of job you are looking for. The Interview was very fit based and had some basic technical but knowledge of excel and powerpoint are emphasized. Some of the people in the group have worked in the industry for many years and are very knowledgeable about hte space so it is a great opportunity ot learn,

The role of the group within the company is very much the client interaction and provide reporting and constant updates on the company and its current investments. Also you are partnered with the Capital Markets team which is a space KKR is expanding in so you get exposure the the investment banking knowledge of an IPO process and marketing companies. As well as the debt restructuring which is very important in an industry reliant financial leverage.

ConsThe work is very sporadic and sometimes your lose a work life balance. Although the group itself can be fun the work can be slightly mundane at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementAmongst the current reorganization, you need to define peoples roles going forward more so they can prepare in advance of the change.

Money's great, but you work harder for it than you should.

Accountant (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsMoney, benefits and the people. I get along with everyone and you can joke around and not be too serious with people.

ConsHours are horrendous. You can't move up in the company because that process is too political. They won't fire incompotent workers which means you might work for a manager who's dumber than you.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo start treating us like we're important.
