Pros
Good cutting edge technology. Real engineering tasks to work on. Interesting problems to solve. Technically bright people to work with.
Cons
Constant cost cutting. Layoffs almost every quarter, leading to overloaded resources and very poor moral. Management tripping over themselves to outsource everything from software development, manufacturing and now engineering of new products as well as support of existing. This too is leading to very poor moral. Especially when you are asked to train your replacement in China or Israel and then watch your job disappear.
Advice to Senior Management
How do you sleep at night when you are dumping US employees left and right in a down economy, and then turning around and replacing them with people in China, Israel, India, etc.? I wonder how many former US KT employees have burned up all of their savings or worse, lost their homes as a result of KT's shameless pursuit to outsource anything and everything as fast as possible?
