    Pros

Perfect place for steering wheel holders to obtain a class A cdl. Good place to begin as an owner operator.

    Cons

Leasing is the only option if u want to earn a decent income. Lease purchase is with stripped down company driver trucks with no owner op specs whatsoever. Company has changed focus to the training dept. And as a result they are becoming a CDL MILL. Gotta be a driver trainer to get miles, otherwise u work for a truck payment. Jackson driver academy is certified by state of Mississippi to issue state driving test, which in turn they are handing out cdls to people that have no control over the trucks. Company CSA score is well below DOT threshold. Company truck specs cause little power and poor fuel mileage which makes for an expensive lease to try and be profitable enough for any quality home time. Office personnel are rude towards drivers. Driver turnover rate is among the worst I've ever seen. Never get u home ontime and load home will be 300+ miles from home so u have to dead head to get home. Could go on and on and on.....

    Advice to Management

Jim, Communication is absolutely a disaster. Company is making money hand over fist, stop taking advantage of lease operators and reward them with the income they deserve for making the company thrive.

    Pros

They help you get your cdl and you average about 2,000 to 3,000 mile a week.

    Cons

No one will answer their phone at the yard in Jackson. I had to wait until i got back to the yard just for the right person to answer my questions. The entire night and weekend dispatcher need to be fire They do not know what they are doing and always give you a load you don't want

    Pros

Company is pretty laid back and they tend to be pretty understanding about times when you may have to leave early (i.e. kids getting sick, emergencies, etc)

    Cons

Office politics. Not truly valuing what each employee brings to the company with their position.

    Advice to Management

Overall, no advice really to management. While there is office politics, management is pretty cool.

    Pros

I ran Regional out of Portage, IN. Great Driver manager, Dispatch a little cliqueish. Plenty of miles for Company drivers, As a Lease Driver you had to learn the loads. Great pay, Great Home time.

    Cons

There is a need for Night Dispatchers, that can make decisions. But now that Southern Tire owns the lot will this Down to Earth Company change. I enjoyed my stay at KLLM...just feel like the Brothers and the accusition of Frozen Food Express will change everything.

    Advice to Management

    Don't Change the Company...

Good place to start out, or if you're older and want to take it easy. If you don't lease, you get thrown under the rug.

    Pros

Ranked one of the best lease programs. Get prepared to be forced into it. But their lease program really is a good one.

    Cons

Unstable pay. $1k one week, $200 the next. Company drivers get horrible loads.

    Advice to Management

Get a better load planner. It doesn't take 3 days to drive 600miles. It wasn't a weekend or holiday when I got that load either. It happens rather often.

    Pros

You could actually sell the truck if things didn't work out on the Lease...that was years ago. Don't know how it is now

    Cons

Horrible and time consuming. lots of DH miles. Called me to come in the day of my grand mother's funeral. Facilities are terrible and too much stress for someone to be considered independent

    Advice to Management

    go new people

    Pros

Not micromanaged, friendly people, and truck drivers are cool

    Cons

management thinks they can be disrespectful, people that have been there a long time discriminate against new people coming into the company and do everything they can to get rid.

    Advice to Management

    be better
