I worked at KONE full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you can figure out the business, you can get a job at a different elevator company!!

    Cons

Management changes all the time! They fire the management on average ever 1.5 years and then try to rebuild, but by the time they hire new managers, the other manager get fired. It's a vicious cycle of impatient people in Finland trying to instantly turn around a slow cycle business in the US.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time to fire yourselves or get a backbone, but I recommend firing yourself.

I have been working at KONE full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good company to work for with many opportuntities, very strong innovation and product development. Many branch offices throughout country.

    Cons

Top heavy management, process overload, micro management is becoming day to day mode of operation. Too many internal request for information, lacking customer focus at local levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more players in front line management (do away with Mid level Management) to grow business and get to know customers better.

I worked at KONE full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great pay, benefits and lots of work if you happen to be one of the few people left of their vanishing work force.

    Cons

Kone has many great products but rather than dominate an area they choose to pick up the crumbs left over from the other large elevator companies. Kone management is more interested in the process of managing elevator construction, maintenance and repair than actually getting the work done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The processes, procedures and devices used by field employees to inform management of : where they are, where they are going, what they did are more efficient at wasting potential productive hours rather than getting the most out of the field employees.
