    I worked at KPMG International

    Pros

-You can find good, dedicated people
-On a lot of projects, you will be thrown into the deep end (which is a great thing if you're a junior)
-Ability to switch to other projects should you not like what you're assigned to
-Ability to switch between departments should you want to try something else out

    Cons

-It's a big firm, so it comes with a lot of the usual issues (HR, some weaker team members lurking about, some politics)
-You may have to travel quite a bit (this can of course be a pro)
-Long hours (again if you're a junior, this isn't so bad)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Ensure that if you send a staff member to a different department that you ensure they are performance managed by the department they are essentially seconded to

The values and working culture that KPMG follow in their organization. The professionalism and experience that they offer. There are plenty of perks of working for KPMG such as travel.

    Cons

The work life balance is difficult to maintain. It is a massive organization and progression can be difficult due to the competition within

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider work life balance for all associates and time-off policies.

I have been working at KPMG International full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice smart and professional colleagues, large interesting clients to work for and many training possibilities. You are allowed to manage your own agenda, so you can take an afternoon off and work half a day in the weekend without having to ask for approval. You will learn to manage a full engagement from sales until billing the client. It feels like being an entrepreneur but then in a big company which offers a safe environment to learn (actually that is called an intrapreneur). Everybody loves to give and get feedback, it is part of the project cycle.

    Cons

You should take good care of yourself, for example you should look after your own work-life balance and you should be make that you take the right training. It is easy to work a lot if you want to. But as long as you know what you want your wishes can be easily discussed with management. If you are able to explain management why you want a certain training most of the time it can be arranged.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep providing the people the personal growth opportunities!
