Advice to Senior Management
No advice.
Pros
Exposure to industries
Smart colleagues
Significant responsibilities in the early stages of your career
Cons
Fast-paced environment can get tiring after several years
Pay is competitive with other firms, but doesn't seem competitive for skills and effort required
Advice to Senior Management
Management has focused it's efforts on making Advisory it's growth engine. This has resulted in a wide range of professionals and skill-sets. A 'one size fits all' salary band by level should be reevaluated to attract talent in specialized areas of the practice (that may command a higher salary).
Pros
Great at employee development and talent management
Cons
Technology issues and infrastrcuture improvements required
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
Good work/live really does exist at KPMG
Opportunity to express opinions
Opportunity to grow
Cons
Like many large corporations, a silo based environment
Like many financial firms, slow to adapt to change
Advice to Senior Management
Look at the other big three and move to adopt new and improved technologies.
Pros
great atmosphere and support from the management team
Cons
Internal communication and organisation can be improved
Advice to Senior Management
people management to consider
Pros
the people are great and the chillest out of the big 4. Training and internship emphasize sociability and team work
Cons
Not so much directed at the company profile, but the line of work in audit can be mundane at times, especially as a first year associate
Advice to Senior Management
Management does a pretty good job of relaying information throughout the office. Recruiting team was great to work with as an entry level
Pros
KPMG is a big highly regarded company with a huge list of clients, which gives an opportunity to get involved with interesting projects.
Cons
Did not gain much experience overall. I can not say I was completely ignored but I could have been assigned much more responsibility.
Advice to Senior Management
Assign more responsibility to interns. And I mean to all of them. Most interns were either sitting there doing nothing all the time, or given jobs like "photocopying" all the time. Management didn't seem to care about interns so it was up to permanent employees to assign jobs.
Pros
My boss is very great and fair. My contributions are considered and I am so well respected by senior management.
Cons
The salary is not at par with other financial service companies. But that is something that one should expect at big 4
Advice to Senior Management
I will say the leadership should keep doing what they are doing with respect to promoting diversity and fairness and respect
