Good place to learn about many different industries.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) City of London, England (UK)

Pros1. Steep learning curve: You will get to learn a lot, about many industries
    2. Good work culture: The people are generally good to work with

Cons1. No work life balance: They expect you to work all the time. And everyone seems to work all the time.
    2. Promotions and Bonuses: They are not very forthcoming with these, and the appraisals process can be a bit wayward.

Advice to Senior ManagementHelp employees have a life beyond work. I know it's not much different at the other big fours, but please try and take the lead here.

It is great if you are a fresh graduate with a lots of energy and willing to work long hours and learn a lot.

ConsSometimes you do not get a fair feedback and it is difficult to get promoted.

Potentially good stepping stone - not a long term career choice

Transaction Services Analyst (Current Employee) City of London, England (UK)

ProsNice new office, lunch allowance, colleagues are nice people, gives you something to do for the day, generally good level of feedback offered

ConsVery little career progression, pay is very poor, bonuses insulting, often have unsociable hours which make a social life practically nonexistent

Advice to Senior ManagementRethink the way you treat graduate trainees, it doesn't pay to provide very little chance to develop skills. Encourage a greater level of delegation and stop those seeking promotions from hoarding work. Pay in line with your competitors, or you will lose lots of staff

Great place to work - but be prepared to work hard !

Principal Consultant (Former Employee) City of London, England (UK)

ProsThe overall culture is one of excellence - and it shows in everything that people do. You are always aware that others will be reiewing (and perhaps referencing) your work - so it breeds a desire to excel. The cuture is also an open one - that encourages people to share knowledge and where hiding knowledge is regarded as a bad thing. It's a fun, dynamic place to work that offers a whole host of challenging projects

ConsIt's a competative environment - so it's no place for shrinking violets ! The work life balance was non-existant, something that I believe has been addressed recently. Of course it has its share of politics - but then every place does.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in your KM systems - knowledge sharing is good - but there is always room for improvement. Sharing data across borders can be to difficult sometimes
