    I worked at KPMG US

    Pros

They go out their way to help candidates
    They have very friendly environment
They Emphasize on passion and influence a lot

    Cons

They seemed to be the least prestigious / favorable among the Big 4.
Somewhat disorganized, sometimes very slow in response

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your marketing up about the passion to recruit more capable candidates and really emphasize the fact that you are there to help them to be successful

    I worked at KPMG US

    Pros

Awesome team to work with--company was exploring new forms of communication and media and it was a fun time to be a part of the team

    Cons

Larger company, fewer opportunities to make a big impact--decided I would prefer to be at a smaller company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps provide the interns a more structured internship experience that involves a project for the interns to work together on

I have been working at KPMG US (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The training at a big four firm is exceptional and the network of people is definitely beneficial both in the short term and long term. Being at an international firm opens up a lot of global opportunities as well.

    Cons

The cons have been work life balance during busy season and some of the clients are pretty difficult to work with, especially if you're constantly being thrown around to new clients and have to learn their business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice to have more work life balance and to somehow learn new ways to keep continuity on clients so that the staff turnover isn't so high.

    Pros

Good work life balance, good people, good experience.

    Cons

Like with any big 4 you have to have your own drive, it. Management will not take notice unless you make them take notice. Not the place if you're looking for a 9-6

I have been working at KPMG US

    Pros

Great company value. Great fringe benefits. Numerous networking opportunities internally and externally.

    Cons

Pay does not compensate long hours enough. Nice environment but can be highly political.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Strong management in some areas. Other individual projects and small engagements have varied management styles. Newly promoted managers can be inexperienced with managing people.

I worked at KPMG US full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Really smart and driven people, collaborative atmosphere, plenty of chances to develop multiple skill sets, plenty of travel, direct access to senior management (and they tend to take your inquiries seriously)

    Cons

plenty of travel can get old, not many chances for advancement, in some groups the managers play favorites, there can be long periods of no work in your own field and you need to be willing to do something completely different for a while, pay is less than what you might get if you leave the firm

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to keep key talent from slipping away by possibly being more transparent about the advancement process.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
