    Pros

Great for the resume, with a number of solid exit opportunities. The advisory group's culture is overall really good and tries to keep a well balanced work/life.

    Cons

Advisory group doesn't have a strong stance in the world of consulting. Mostly tries to cling to technology implementation and PMO type work. The real, true consulting project are few and far between. Also, doesn't have a strong presence in the energy industry.

I have been working at KPMG US full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This company is an amazing place to start your career. The training is awesome and you definitely want Big 4 on your resume if you have an accounting or finance degree. Most of the people here are young and fun to hang out with. You will get great exposure to important clients and learn a lot.

    Cons

After your first year or two, the salary is pretty low compared to industry. Some of the people that work here can be jerks. The work/life balance doesn't really exist for most folks. You will work weekends and nights during busy seasons and quarters. Like until 2 am nights. They don't take where you live into consideration so you might commute 30+ miles to work or 2 depending on whatever client you are assigned. Managers are hit and miss. You might love one client and hate the next. It is totally dependent on the team and leadership you are with which can be like night and day. It can also be difficult to stand out here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise your salaries if you want to keep your seniors. Let people go home earlier. The only reason they are working late is because of poor planning/leadership/management. An effectively led team should be able to clock out by 5pm and stay until 7 or 8 pm during busy times.

I have been working at KPMG US full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Excellent long-term and short-term benefits, great time-off policy and flexible work schedules, very diverse place to work with opportunities for both domestic and international rotations.

    Cons

Many areas of the business are growing fast, and in some cases there are resource shortages, so people find themselves working many long hours and weekends to meet client demands. So, if you work in one of these areas, it becomes difficult to take time off and to take advantage of flexible work schedules.
