    Pros

Lots of benefits for employees, too bad I was just a contractor.

    Cons

Felt like I was completely anonymous. Lots of rules, systems that change constantly.

    Pros

You will have more than your share of opportunities for growth. You will see the inner workings of many companies. You won't be doing the same thing every day, week, or month over and over.

    Cons

Pay is typically bad at the lower levels. You work a lot, poor work-life balance if you want to succeed. Depending on who your superiors are, you could have a great experience or a very poor experience.

    Pros

The best part of working at KPMG are the people. Audit teams are composed of people in their early to mid 20's so you naturally become close. Benefits are great. Looks great to future employers.

    Cons

Long hours, I would regularly work until 11 at night and on weekends. Be prepared for a lot of company politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked for managers who had big egos and liked to work their teams around the clock. This unfortunately tainted my experience.

Poor Experience on the Support Side of the Business

I have been working at KPMG US full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Many opportunities to work from home. Great staff and co workers are nice.

    Cons

The support side of the business doesn't have the right processes in place. There are a lack of systems for duplication purposes in the areas of the business that need it most. If I ever trained someone, I couldn't point them to a place that will give them everything that they need to get started. They would have to email about 25 people, ask a lot of questions and ask the RIGHT questions and then hopefully get what they need. Montvale can be very cliquish. If you don't work in Montvale but report to someone there, you might feel like an outsider.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your stuff together so that when someone gets hired or quits, there is a known process in place to get this person up to speed. This demand for speed and excellence while walking down a dark hallway crap is ridiculous.

    Cons

Work can get boring after x number of years, long hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ability to move internally should be an easier process, more recognition for employees hard work
