Proscompany is in rapid growth, a lot of personal growth opportunities with an informal vibe, that allows you to extend your job description.
smart people to work with, that navigate the company to growth year over year.
flexible work hours, work from home, etc.

Conscan be demanding in terms of hours and commitment from employees.

Advice to Senior Managementsharing the high level achievements and plans of the company every quarter is great, but need to better tie that with my specific team goals, so that it is clear how i am contributing to achieving the overarching goals.

An average

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Ramat Gan (Israel)

I have been working at Kaltura full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSuccess prospect. From commercially point of view Kaltura is managed in a proper way and seems to become a success. It is business oriented, rather than tech oriented like many of start ups that I was involved with before Kaltura.

ConsThe human relations are not too good. Occasionally the management behave in a rude way, without 'seeing' the employee. The are many 'management' actions that seems like been take from a textbook without actually thinking whether they suit Kaltura or not.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink about your employees, take'em in account not by textbook, but by a human approach.

Challenging and frustrating, especially if you don't have 5+ years of industry experience

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I worked at Kaltura full-time for less than a year

ProsIt's growing quickly and the salaries are good. There are a lot of industry professionals within the company that have a lot of connections.

ConsMany employees are jaded and there is a general atmosphere of frustration. Kaltura moves surprisingly slowly for a startup, with a lot of focus on money at the cost of a strong company culture. There are often long hours, few rewards and few opportunities for advancement. Also, not many women in management positions, and they're not widely respected. Many employees, especially in the US, are very concerned about their egos and focus more on their personal relationships rather than moving the company forward.

Advice to Senior ManagementNearly every employee is frustrated on a daily basis, and you will continue to lose good employees by not taking real, committed steps to improving this.

The worst

Director Product Manager (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Kaltura full-time for more than a year

ProsPay was competitive
Benefits were not

platform is pretty good..

Consthere are so many cons
don't work here

They only care about profit, not making a better product, not customer service

completely unorganized.

They have at this point given over $100M in funding..not sure where this has gone aside from in the pockets of the founders.

LOTS of yelling and insults between colleagues

sexual harassment is rampant and accepted

Advice to Senior Managementsell the company already so you can leave

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
