Current Employee – been working at Kansas State University part-time for more than a year
Pros – K-State faculty care about student success. It's a very rewarding place to work and a wonderful atmosphere surrounds the campus and community. Manhattan is the quintessential college town and the students are very motivated.
Cons – Very few. Salaries are not as competitive as some other institutions but the cost of living and quality of life more than make up for this.

Former Employee – worked at Kansas State University as a contractor for more than 3 years
Pros – This university has built a support structure that enables faculty to engage students in learning together, including training, tech support, research support, etc. I have worked at three universities, and the other two did not begin to match the intentionality with which K-State orchestrates an environment in which faculty as teachers can thrive - leading to thriving students.
Cons – The only downside is that K-State is in the middle of Kansas, and I am a city girl.
Advice to Senior Management – Share what you do with other universities through writing. Leverage what you know about making a university great, so that American universities can thrive overall.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
