    Pros

The job afforded me the opportunity to manage engagements early in my time at the company. They also offered plenty of resources in the form of primary research.

    Cons

The job had a lot of autonomy, but at times, it felt a little too unstructured. Since it's so decentralized, it can be difficult to navigate the organization.

    Pros

It's part of Kantar, a global market research company. There are still some good people around.

    Cons

The top level leadership has been systematically purging staff with tenure and if replacing them with cheap overseas labor. Blaming the workforce instead of management incompetence and bad planning. Trying to paper over the cracks and make it sound a great place to work. It's not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the senior leaders take the blame for complete lack of progress and flip-flopping priorities. Don't allow people with no management skills to implement TRIM scores so that they can fire anyone in the negative quadrant, rather than actually attempting to turn around staff morale from an all time low.

    Pros

Good Experience overall and you will definitely be put to work. Say goodbye to anything like a social life. Different problems on a regular basis so everyday ostensibly different

    Cons

No work/life balance and compensation isn't equal to amount of responsibility. Not a lot of twchnology utilized, lack of training that prepares you for your role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better change management and better compensation. Provide training that prepares employee for their role

    Pros

Exposure to global projects and client facing.

    Cons

Under qualified senior management! Seniors have minimal education and so do some of the staff. Qualifications, experience are hardly considered - its not what you know but who you know!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go through people's resumes before you manage them!!!

I worked at Kantar full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Centrally located, facilities are alright and work-life balance is OK.

    Cons

I worked in the HRIS support team and never have I come across such a negative team environment with an absolutely biased direct management, who are also very tight with money. For such a small team of about a dozen employees, staff turnover is incredibly high - 4 resignations in the space of 1 month! The team's immediate leadership is very poor (condescending micro-managers who treat you like little children in school!), and this filters down into a negative impact on the attitudes of the team members. The pay levels are shocking - while a couple of the managers are over-paid for not actually doing much work, the majority of the staff are on extremely low wages. This is one of the tightest departments, with zero investment in training or career development for their employees.

Fragmented team, lots of conflicts, in-fighting, politics and unfair, biased managers who give preferential treatment to their mates. Again most of the problems comes down to the extremely poor and low quality leadership of this HRIS team.

The overall company is currently going through a re-structure and there has already been a lot of redundancies and voluntary resignations. There also has been pay freezes, promotion freezes and recruitment freezes this year due to poor company performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay serious attention to the issues raised via high staff turnover, employee surveys, exit interviews, 1-to-1 meetings and do something about them to resolve them! Invest in a better HR system, one that people actually like to use. Sack the HRIS team directos/managers to retain the good quality team members who do all the actual work there. Review the pay structure of the HRIS team.
