    Pros

Katch Kan is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Serving the upstream Oil & Gas Industry for over 20 years, this values-driven organization plays an important role in reducing operational costs, lessening injuries to hard working individuals and ensuring that our environment is protected for generations to come. Led by a creative and passionate CEO, the newly formed Management team embrace Katch Kan’s mission and know that the future is bright. I am extremely proud to be a part of this organization and to play a role in creating meaningful change.

    Cons

Finding adaptable individuals with staying power.

    Pros

Production group are great they always get things done when needed. Some great people here but owner does not respect any of us

    Cons

No clear vision on how to get to the next level. Lack of communication between office staff everything is a secret, owner has no faith in employees, always changing his mind and direction, no respect for employees or personal boundaries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the owner and rebrand. Your on a sinking ship!!!

    Pros

There are some really bright and talented people working there. But they won't be for long.

    Cons

......."senior management" is posting a rebuttal to honest comments. Both the GM and CFO are as bad as the owner in their behaviour and treatment of employees (and they are contractors NOT employees!!!). The culture is toxic and starts at the top. They want "adaptable people with staying power" and employees to "invest time and energy to see positive opportunities"! Really? Stop treating employees like a necessary evil and annoyance. Employees are seen as only a means to make profits for the company. This company doesn't give back to its employees - just takes. And there are no "opportunities" at this company so why "invest time and energy" to "stay" when employees are treated so badly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The employees make the company money - not you.

    Pros

This is directed at the last person to write the glowing review for this company. Quinn....is that you? There is NO WAY that this person works for Katch Kan. As an employee, that is.

    Cons

See above. One glowing review amongst a sea of reality. This company changes staff very frequently. Great if the staff is being promoted, or assuming other responsibilities. But that isn't the case. Once the consumer gets comfortable with you, that is likely your last day. I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned the fact that he hires girls to promote his company at trade fairs. Not just KK employees...ladies that are either looking for attention or giving that attention. Extremely degrading if you have half a brain.

    Pros

They do protect the enviroment, but are more interested in the financial aspect.

    Cons

I still work there, so reading the other positive reviews that are posted I know are fake and perhaps even posted by the management. This is without doubt the worst environment and company you could work for - bar none!

The CEO is a joke and everything is self serving and fake - even his awards!

All you have to do is look at the turnover in the company to soon see he uses people and then discards them like dog meat.

I have personally seen some fantastic people with incredible skills get walked to the door or they just quit as they feel used and abused!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to any manager other than the CEO is to run - as sooner or later, you will be kicked to the curb!

    - Fast paced, rewarded for success
    - Clear goals, solid benefits

    Cons

    - No cons, if you are willing to contribute

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Katch Kan is a great small business that manufacturers environmental products for the upstream oil and gas industry. It's busy, fast paced and growing fast. Depending on what you want to do, there is a lot of room for development at this company. As KK products are sold in 54 countries, some folks travel the world as part of their jobs.

The CEO is supportive if you want to improve yourself with training or education and wants everyone to succeed. The compensation package is competitive, with a program to help pay for gym memberships and a commitment to continuing education.

It's a young company with a lot of enthusiasm, with some great opportunities for expansion. I'm proud to work here.

I worked at Katch Kan full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Few good peoples are working

    Cons

Most of the things are bad. Doesn't maintain the employment standard. Very bad attitude to employer. Low salary and very few benefits. Always create problems to get leave. This company only cares for money, doesn't recognize employees personal life. There strategy is hire and fire !!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Experience should not be the only requirement to become a manager. Few managers should go to school to learn management and also to learn how to behave with employees. Employees are not slaves as you guys treat them. Its very disgusting to see when managers are tracking the time an employee spent in washroom. Mangers should not use employees computer without their concerns to look what they were doing.

I have been working at Katch Kan (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This is an ISO company. Procedures are spelled out; a map is in place for every position to follow. Expectations and accountabilities for your job are clearly conveyed, as are company expectations and codes of conduct. At the same time, anomalies are recognized. Any question you ask will be answered by someone, if you ask. The tools you need to be successful are available. If you need more, if you present a business plan, they are there for the asking. It, and your expertise will be recognized because you were hired for the position based on your expertise and commitment.

The owner is completely approachable (he's actually a teddy bear) and honestly is looking for help to take this company

    Cons

It is a pro and a con. Quinn believes, believes and believes in people He always has hope and hires people believing they are serious about their career, It is put out there from the git go that this is not just a 9-5 , collect your paycheque job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Probation period is a good thing. Take that opportunity to weed out the people who lie, past and present, who show up drunk, the ones who think their opinion is more important than the owner, the ones who think it is their god given right to show up for work when they want to, The ones that that skate because no one is following their appointments in :Nisku", Dog needs a vet appointment? Six and twelve month probation is a good thing. Make them learn what they don't know. before they their decisions affect the company,

Simple advice for wherever you work: Don't ever lie and don't ever hide stuff. Honesty is the only policy.
