    Pros

Corporate, but relaxed... overall very nice people make up the leadership. The office in NYC is a nice central location.

    Cons

Constantly changing department names made it a bit confusing to understand the company as a whole - people tend to just identify with their division.

    Pros

The people that work in the Chicago office are awesome to work with! You will learn a lot!

    Cons

Very little opportunity for advancement within the company. No team building or office activities that include assistants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Include assistants more in order to boost moral. Also implement the some team building activities that include all levels!

    Pros

Good experience to learn media sales. They have a training program that can get you promoted and teaches the basic's.

    Cons

Management has unrealistic expectations on how we handle each account. Deal with over 20 stations and plus a plethora of agencies. Pay is subpar.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people. Understand that there is more to life than selling spot TV!

    Pros

At Katz Media Group you work with a fun outgoing group of people and it's a great start to your career, but no room for advancement.

    Cons

Monotonous routine work will get a little boring and not much room for growth.

Former Employee - Advertising Intern in New York, NY

I worked at Katz Media as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

You get to learn the basic environment of how the business works with a few experienced employees, pretty free with lunch hours, allowed to take it within the 3 hour window which was great.

    Cons

Very tedious work as an intern, such as coffee run, copy machine refills and such are part of the intern's responsibility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish my supervisor would have given me more important task than just organizing a file cabinet or coffee run, i didn't really get to learn much during this internship.

I have been working at Katz Media full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people and a good work environment on a day to day basis.

    Cons

Salary is way below competitors. Corporate offers little to no support to Account Executives who are responsible for bringing in business. Basically you are fed lip services from your managers in order to keep you quiet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more support and more competitive salaries to employees. They offer little to nothing in the way of opportunities for advancement in the company.

I have been working at Katz Media full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very laidback atmosphere, people are friendly & most of the sales assistants are between 21-28 years old. The work isn't rocket science

    Cons

The only negative thing I would say about this is the salary is so little. With a 4 year college degree from a good schoo, i make a measly $15 an hour which is about 28k a year
