    Pros

There are some great people here and it is very laid back. The office location is great. Most of the managers are nice to work for.

    Cons

The job is mindless and the atmosphere is very unprofessional. Everyone walks around looking burned out and zombie like because they pretty much don't like their jobs. Lately, turn around has been up the charts with many people leaving and the rest are looking to leave. If management treated their employees better then maybe they would see morale raise up. They took away Holiday parties & fun events. There is no "perk" to working at Katz.

Seems like a big concern on everyone's mind is drinking. Long lunches at bars, after hour partying and coming into work with a hang over is the norm. It seems the way to get "in" is to be a part of these after hour and lunch hour drink parties that occur. Seeing all of this from the inside is a huge turn off and adds to the very unprofessional atmosphere of this place..

The pay... well, it is pretty terrible. There is so much more out there and I don't understand how management doesn't realize that. Other companies in the same field for the same position are paying a good 10k more. With all the money this company has they don't do a very good job at showing their employees they're appreciated. Apparently there are no pay raises unless you move to a higher position or ... ;)

Everyone is extremely over worked. The workload has become unbearable and no one seems to do anything about it. Some people don't even do their work and others have to pick up the slack.

Do yourself a favor and stay away. Look into other companies that will pay their employees what they're WORTH and will show respect.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. After so much negative feedback, you'd think they would get the picture and change the way they treat people, pay people, and run the company. You need to take a moment to realize how everyone is heading out the door. You are slowly losing many of your most creative, hardworking, and enthusiastic employees who have much to offer to the company if given a chance.

    Pros

Great work experience for recent graduates.

    Cons

Pay is horrible, people are verbally extremely unprofessional, and there is no room to grow.

    Pros

Open environment, fantastic opportunity for those who take advantage.
Ability to innovate and make a difference.
Management will listen and act on ideas.

    Cons

Salary lives on the low end and is not tied to true incentive plans.
There are some unhappy/negative people to deal with.

    Pros

My department is fun and welcoming. You get to learn a lot if you talk to the right people, and it is a great place to network and make connections.

    Cons

A lack of upward mobility, for employees actively seeking to grow within the company. Very little pay for the amount of work and responsibility. A lot of unfulfilled promises from management

    Advice to Management

Work with employees who are willing to learn and grown. Implement a real review process and included yearly pay increase associated with it.

    Pros

My immediate department is good - very lax environment - vacation isn't really monitored, you can come and go as you please. You have a discounted membership to the gym downstairs (in nyc at least).

    Cons

You're promised a base/commission deal that isn't fulfilled. Get your deal in writing. I wish I had.

    Pros

Friendly people, supportive management, great clients. Fun company to work for.
    Family friendly culture.

    Cons

Can't think of too many cons. The pay is not competitive and no income increase for sales and management for last 5 years with the company (in fact, we took cuts in pay).
The pros far out weigh the cons!

    Advice to Management

The company has changed drastically in the past few years. Corporate management focus is the radio division (Katz Media is a subsidiary of IHeartRadio, formerly Clear Channel). TV division is not seeing the big broadcast group wins these days. Suggest getting aggressive with television station acquisitions or tv division may go the way of Petry.

    Pros

This is a good way to get your foot in the door.

    Cons

The pay is low. Below industry standard. It would be almost impossible to live off the assistant salary and they expect you to be there for at least a year or you probably won't get a recommendation.
