    Pros

The CEO seems to be the only one concerned about major issues such as workplace harassment and sexism, but only after you are forced to contact him directly.

    Cons

Inept management, toxic work environment, endless "double-standards", racism, and sexism, just to name a few... And don't bother going to the main HRO department, as they only listen to what local management tells them and then refuses to take your calls. This company in general regards it's employees the same as toilet paper, easily discarded and replaced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are a valuable asset, and they provide the backbone of your company, so when they are mistreated, they quit and move on. Although it seems they are too easily replaceable, eventually this will catch up to you and your bottom-line.

    Pros

    Good branding (company tshirts; stickers)
    Competitive pay
    Many experienced employees

    Cons

    Poor management
No regard for employees. They are a disposable asset and will be terminated with little regard to due process.
    Toxic work environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are your greatest asset. Seriously. By throwing away talent in pursuit of short-term gain, you send your best off to work for your competitors.

I worked at Kay and Associates, Inc.

    Pros

It is the SOLE contractor currently operating the Robins AFB type IIA Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). As a PMEL technician, you get to work in your preferred / selected vocation in your preferred / selected geographic location.

    Cons

As the SOLE contractor currently operating the Robins AFB type IIA Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), a PMEL technician has ZERO choice as to the contractor (your employer) you will be working for (the contractor is selected by the USAF), nor do you have a voice in operations. It is truly a "take it or leave it" scenario. One day you may be working for a "good" company, the next day - when a new contract is set - you may be working for someone with a worse attitude. There is also a lot of leeway contractors have to ensure that they "comply" with the Service Contract Act, and they play lots of games, mostly the kind profitable for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Include the employees in the management process, they have a lot of good ideas!; Listen to them!

I worked at Kay and Associates, Inc. as a contractor for more than 8 years

    Pros

The majority the people are professional and hard working. The compensation and benefits are good to very good considering the working hours and location.

    Cons

In Kuwait, if you're not one of the site manager's favorites, you'll be excluded from any chance at advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate oversight could be improved. Maybe a sort of anonymous online survey or something to that effect would give you a better idea about employees concerns.

Former Employee - Plane Captain in Al Qurayn (Kuwait)

I worked at Kay and Associates, Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Interview is painless. Decent pay overall for the overseas employees. The management team has an open door policy to all employees for anything weather it be an issue or to talk sports. Health insurance is paid 100% overseas no matter what the issue is with zero co-pays or deductibles; no questions asked. Company provides housing allowance, transportation allowance among others, and all pay is tax exempt. Very professional team in Kuwait. Flexibility for lateral moves exist. Lots of holidays due to the recognition of US and Kuwaiti holiday periods. Generous with paid vacation time. Company re-imburses for all travel expenses.

    Cons

Waiting to finally get on the aircraft overseas is the hardest part as the process is very lengthy. The pay should be more when employees are required to live and work overseas. Company housing is provided for three months only and then the employee must find their own accommodations; rent, cell phone, and long term rental car are all acquired expenses. Dental insurance is re-imbursable; everything must be paid upfront. Very little room for upward movement. Must pay for flight home upfront.
