Current Employee – been working at Keane
Pros – Strong national presence that seemed to support growth of their employees. I have heard excellent reviews of Keane nationally, the Richmond, Good salary and good benefits.
Cons – The Richmond, VA office seemed to be in over their heads. Several employees were in staff augmentation roles with very little management.
Advice to Senior Management – More support in the staff aug roles. Look to develop employee skill sets so that you can position Keane teams to take on projects and deliver as a unit.

Current Employee – been working at Keane
Pros – One of the best IT company caring for individual career growth and great opportunities to learn at every stage of the career
Cons – Still a very young company and need lot of work to establish their footmarks in the enterprise projects across the Globe. Limited SAP projects and still has lot of chance to grow.
Advice to Senior Management – Management at Keane has been doing a great work in establishing their footmarks and working very hard to grow in SAP which is the growing area currently.

Current Employee – been working at Keane
Pros – OK Salary and benefits. It rally depends on your manager. My direct manager only contacts me when necessary. Other managers I have worked with are great. Do not expect a pay raise in the future. Leave polidy for emergencies is very good.
Cons – Long hours depending on the customer. The customer is king and employees come second. Onboarding is missing or inadequate. You choose.
Advice to Senior Management – Get organized and realize your employees are your most important resource in a IT service industry. Good luck in the future.

Former Employee – worked at Keane
Pros – Talented coworkers. Best part of my position was contributing to proposals where I was bid as a lead project manager (rather than the position I was hired for). I only left since the position I was bid on (which my qualifications WON for Keane) was not awarded in a timely manner. Since I could not afford to be "on the bench" for any duration of time in this economy, I had to make a move. Very similar situation to every government contracting company. Always looking for "follow on" work.
Cons – In my specific contract, essentially we were paid (quite a bit) for just showing up. It is here that I learned after 17 years of professional work, that government employees cannot be fired; they are just "moved around" to another agency or division if they become problematic. Explains a lot doesn't it?
Advice to Senior Management – Senior management at the corporate headquarters in McLean for the Federal business seem to not understand the need for contractors to remain employed. Not enough proactive work in finding current employees positions to roll into when a current contract expires.

Former Employee – worked at Keane
Pros – Good size global organization with a variety of opportunities to advance or change jobs if your current position is not a good fit.
Cons – Lack of focus on the long term and an apparent inability to stick with a decision. While I recognize circumstances change, the management team continued to change on decisions and go back and forth which impacted divisions to progress and instilled a lack of confidence in management.
Advice to Senior Management – The leadership team is relatively new at Keane (less than 2 years) and while they appear to be very smart, I would encourage them to get on the same page with the company vision and mission so that those working for them have a clear plan to execute against.
